2005-2006 Fall Season

 Tryout/Registration

(Each player must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for registration process)

                                        WHERE:        NEW LENOX TOWNSHIP BUILDING
                                                                (1100 S. Cedar Road, New Lenox)

                                         TIME:       6:00 p.m.  -  8:00 pm Player Registration 

                                                   8:00 p.m.  -  9:00 pm Monthly Board Meeting 

                                                                 

Tryout Registration Fees:

 

A $350 Tryout/Registration Fee will be required at the time of registration on Aug. 8th.

In the event a player registers and does not take the ice during either tryout session,  $300 and the player’s USA hockey card will be refunded.  This refund also applies to those who may not be selected to one of the 2 LWC teams.  In the event a player participates in tryouts, is selected to a team and fails to sign the team roster, $100  and the player’s USA card will be refunded.

 

For those who are selected for a LWC team and sign the team roster, all money will be applied toward the 2005-2006 season expenses.

  • Base hockey fees for the 2005-2006 season are $2236, based on a Varsity roster of 16 skaters and a JV roster of 15 skaters.  In the event these skater numbers or budget numbers change, the base fee will be adjusted accordingly. This price covers practice ice (alternating 2-1 like last season), 2 league fees per team, coaches, and various club-operating expenses.  Additional costs will be incurred for socks, jerseys, pictures, early-bird tournament, team jacket, and USA Hockey registration fee. 
    Optional fund-raisers will be offered during the season to lower these fees.

At tryout registration, you will receive a packet of information as well as forms required for completion on August 8th.
Please read and complete all required forms as well as take notice of any due dates.

Players will be notified via the website of team selection within a few days of above dates.

 

 In the event you are selected to a Lincoln-Way Central Hockey team you must attend the following:

 

 Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting

 

A meeting will be held the week of August 29th.  The date, time, and location will be provided during the registration process.  At this meeting, additional organizational issue will be conducted such as the following:

 

·        Signing of player roster

·        Signing of Handbook policies such as Code of Conduct

·        Coach expectations

·        Ice practice/game schedule

·        Collection of required copy of school ID

·        Obtain student locker number and parent permission to obtain honor roll information

·        Collection of required current sports physical (Must be dated post June 1st, 2005) Form available via our website or at time of tryout registration on August 8th.

·        Collection of optional spirit wear orders

·        Collection of September Fees

o       You may make payment in full at this time, provide post-dated checks for remaining payments or choose the payment mail-in coupon method.

Payment dates will be as follows:(amounts to be determined, approximately $447, based on 16V and 15JV skaters as well as current budget information):

                                             PAYMENT #1 –Week of 08/29/05 at time of Team/Parent Meeting* 

                                             PAYMENT #2 –10/01/05

                                             PAYMENT #3 –11/01/05

                                             PAYMENT #4 –12/01/05

                                             PAYMENT #5 - 01/02/05

*Add-on costs (socks, jerseys, etc.) must be paid with first payment.  Please remember the $350 tryout/registration money provided on Aug. 8th will be applied to the September payment in the event player signs the roster.  Once the official roster has been signed, entire 2005-2006 fees are the responsibility of each parent/guardian.

 

If you choose the coupon mail-in option, please remember your child will not be allowed on the ice if payment is not received on or before the posted dates above.

 

        

REMINDERS:

  • Sports Physical – If sports physical is not available at registration or mandatory player/parent meeting, it must be turned in at the first practice. No player will be allowed to practice until this physical is obtained.  Additionally, we need to turn them into the leagues at their September meetings.  PLAN AHEAD!!!
